I damaged an embedded development board by walking across a carpeted room before touching it. When I touched it I heard, felt, and saw the zap and one of the IO ports was stuck after that.

I don't think it's that strange. Most people are happy to have their views supported even if it's by means that they would call terrible if used against them.

I have pasteurized milk straight from a cow in different ways and it is different than raw milk. I prefer the flavored of the pasteurized, but all of them are much better than regular whole milk from the store. Store milk is just more bland in every way, and not just because it's less fatty.

The flavor of milk changes with what the cow eats, so if cows are on pasture then the flavor will change over the year as the grasses change and if they are on hay for part of the year that obviously changes the flavor as well.

Just because spending is rising doesn't mean people are buying more things. Prices have increased, so people can be buying fewer goods and still spending more.

This is not directly relevant, but Power ISA 3.1 (from May 2020) has 128 bit division operations (vdivuq and vdivsq) with a maximum latency of 61 cycles. I don't have access to a Power 10 machine to see how it compares to what's presented here, but I thought it was an interesting addition to the ISA.
