Possibly blocking it from pressure from his own community that it might be used against them? Similar to how Birmingham CCTV cameras were blocked by certain members of the communities in Birmingham as they thought they were spying on them.

Anyway its a conflict of interest that a Mayor that is not a technocrat decides what software the Police uses. Seems so wrong.

For those who are not that old, when cigarettes were mainstream there were many scientists (or business backed science) telling people that smoking was healthy. Then they decided to change tact when it became obvious it was causing lung disease.

Kinda pointless the government looking muscular on this when the real issue has moved on anyway to vaping, access to weed etc. The industry lobbying wont come after the govt anyway so no blocks right, as they are getting profit from elsewhere

White dwarf explosions result in zinc? Can someone ELI5 as to how they know this if a white dwarf has never actually been monitored closely? Or are these just theories? Pluto for example was found to have a haze with newer telescopes so what if the observarions from white dwarfs which are so far away based on assumptions - are not correct?

I never got the argument that its too expensive so we can't have kids. Look at the most impoverished countries - they have much less money but have more kids and often strong senses of purpose and community.

All of it is societys perception, how we are being bought up as men and women, our actual purpose, and greed that has killed the desire for children.
