I'm not entirely sure you're correct. Your claim boils down to "Writing natural human prose" vs "Broad use of complex software and spatial awareness". My gut feeling is that there's more untapped and fruitful applications in the second group than the first - at least in the short term.

Not a mathematician but surely if a problem I was working on had an AI also working on it, I would want to know as early as possible - even with flaws or gaps. What advantage is it to me to be less informed?

Here's how I think about it. There's two different things "knowing how to use AI effectively" and "knowing how to leverage effective AI to improve your project".

1. Both are multipliers on skills you already have. A "noob" will be at a disadvantage.

2. The second one is a complex blend of technical skill, domain knowledge and human factors (knowing your user-base, knowing your product/project, understanding UX/DX/whatever) that you probably will always have an edge on.

To be fair - my recollection was "representing browser vendors and pragmatists". It was far from rhe industry stitch-up that that might sound like to modern ears.

Yeah - the lack of hand holding is partly laziness and partly intentional. I personally love digging into deep visual toys and figuring out what various button presses do.

But I probably do need to make it a little less mysterious and fix some of the obvious ux gotchas.

The brief tutorial is also probably slightly out of date since I added some features.

DeepSeek v4.1 Flash is fascinating and uneven. It's way too chatty in OpenCode to be a collaboration partner. I tried dsh-tui which feels comparable to the codex/claude tui's and it's usable. but it seems to be "brilliant and yet stupid" in a way I can't quite put my finger on. I've got too much real work to get done to dig into it so until the big boys price me out of the market I'm back to my $100/month deal.

Nonsense. VR was and still is sustainable as a profitable niche product for specific use-cases. Zuck spending billions to try and own a new mass market category has nothing to do with that.

I wasn't implying that it was okay to "steal" things because they were offered voluntarily. My position on this is kind of complex and nuanced but this particular reply was meant to state the opposite.
