I learned blender purely to edit borked meshes customers brought in when I worked at a 3d print service bureau that refused to spend money on software.

Now I can just about fix, edit, or make anything I want in blender pretty quickly and have even started making some 3d art. Definitely worth putting the time in

In most cases piano tuners are probably operating within the confines of what’s realistic with regards to cost and time. I mean even in this post they did exactly that. Not sure the point you are making

What’s funny to me in all of this is I’m pretty sure regular windows search is still really bad and I haven’t heard them mention the feature “search for a file on your pc you know exists”.

Every other nation has cell phones so I fail to see how the cell phone argument holds water.

Also the safety of speed for a given environment should include pedestrians. Many advocates for urban areas rightfully push for 25 mph limits for exactly that reason. If you want to successfully convert in town urban roads that are wide and have high speeds to 25mph there are two good options: speed calming measures or speed cameras.

I worked a service job for several years. People not showing respect was a daily occurrence. A better way to phrase it is people walking over you. It might be 5% under normal circumstances. If you make a mistake to the wrong person they’ll blowup, make a huge scene, yell for the manager, and ultimately get what they would’ve gotten regardless. One of those 2 hours into an 8 hour shift and it gets exhausting putting on a fake smile for 6 hours.

I’ve been needing to take rental cars occasionally for a new job and it’s astounding there are new cars being sold that get 25-30mpg max. Some cars have what should be very efficient engines but are strapped to bloated SUVs. It’s more than embarrassing it’s depressing

Got gifted a pair of pixel buds gen 2. I liked them. Accidentally sent them through a wash cycle killing the left one. Eventually straight up lost the left one. Thought nothing of it until I changed phones and realized a hardware limitation meant you needed both to pair to a new device. Dumb but I needed a new one anyways so…

I contacted support after not seeing spares were being sold. They gave me an 25$ store credit… Ended up selling the case and working earbud and getting a different brand.

Recently changed phones and them pulling the headphone jack from the A series after the 5 was a non-starter for me. I still use wired headphones and plug my aux into my car and other places :/ kinda mind boggling

Genuinely curious how phone cameras not having physical shutters is a travesty. Wouldn’t it take up a lot of space? Either making the camera bump even bigger or shrinking the lens elements.

Shutterless shooting has its faults that necessitate a physical shutter when shooting professionally on dedicated cameras. Outside of those circumstances shooting shutterless on modern mirrorless ‘pro’ cameras has few drawbacks.

I could see flickering with some light sources being annoying at times but if you’re running into it as annoyance often a dedicated camera is always an option. Even 10 year old digital cameras wipe the floor of any phone
