Reminder, Moltbook had ton of security issues during release, iirc it was vibecoded. So, cybersec failed devs are getting jobs and apparently AI will take over jobs. Elites are so good at fear-mongering so that you join at a lower wage, don't ever underestimate your value guys!

Another company jumping on the bandwagon to data-farm in the pretext of safeguarding children. I really wonder if there's an actual method to actually safeguard children while also not holding on to data. Because, genuinely, you can't question this.. Companies would just say "we are trying to protect kids" and that'd be the end of the argument.

Agreed. There's only so much a probabilistic model can do. It's all the effect of the copious amount of data it's fed, none of it is its own generated intelligence and somehow majority of the world doesn't seem to understand that. Generative Intelligence is NOT the future.

What's so special?

OpenClaw is seemingly just another way to chat with an AI on another non-AI centric platform instead of the CLI or the company's site. Then, you have to give it so many API keys to actually utilise it, which for me has shattered the image of it enabling complete autonomy. Yes, I get that it's just an one-time thing, but all these platforms have AIs of their own at this point, why would I go through this new hassle. That too some have expiring API keys or certain limits as well. All in all, AGAIN, a feature, not a product.

Well in my opinion there's nothing wrong with vibe-coding. You can completely use it to make your passion projects. I draw the line when people try to sell their vibe-coded project as something huge, putting people at the risk of potential security breaches while also taking money out of them.
Every other day I see ads of companies saying "use our AI and become a millionaire", this kind of marketing from agentic IDEs implies no need for developers who know their craft, which as said above, isn't the case.

I have made this app called WorldConverse (https://github.com/anonymouslyanonymous1/WorldConverse) - it's like Reddit and Twitter but on a map/geographic organisation. You can check at a glimpse what's happening, where. I call the indicators, "Core". As more and more people join the core (=> message at least once), the core enlarges - so you'll be able to tell stuff that's trending apart. My main idea is to give people a go-to/single platform to discuss developing news in the world, albeit specific to their region.
I have made a bare minimum structure and open-sourced it, I haven't hosted it yet, but I'd like to hear you lot's thoughts on feasibility, appeal and suggestions..
