We all need to look at the chain that feeds us.

What is going to replace the busy cities, airports, offices and all the infrastructure and it's supply chain?

A lot of IT roles will disappear also.

We have staff from Asia fly in with a few days notice and vice versa.

Few ever need a work visa they simply visit as a tourist. Certainly if a short trip.

Not that what they are doing is correct. But it happens so regularly, I don't think many office workers even consider they need a work visa.

Anyhow this saga has just proven the vast majority of meetings can be done remote hence why your all working remote will be the companies reply.

If a global company the data is probably shared across the globe and regulated as need be already.

I really think people need to be careful for what they wish for with remote work.

Companies will see savings (well what they perceive as savings) and will see margins increasing.

People thinking they will get the money back the company saves on property costs or paid that "London/New York/SF weighting". That or fully kitted home office's. I think they maybe disappointed.

When a company makes big savings they then often get hungry for more.

Also we need to remember politics in the western nations is still something most people can talk about or mention and put a poster up or wear a badge. The biggest issue will be people avoiding you thinking you might bore them on the subject.

Go to a number of countries in the world. Random political adverts being spotted on your feed may cause you much grief and possibly harm in some way.

Your saving on travel, they save on building, building services and location adjusted wages.

With huge savings being made by all businesses and less costs on the balance sheet.

Wages will come under intense scrutiny.

From what I am seeing is plenty do want to go in to the workplace and realise if others do work from home they can use it to their own advantage.

There is a good chance that eventually the risk of Covid for most people will somehow be much more remote.

Do we really think people will not try to use in person social contact as an advantage?
