Pretty stunning chart that shows how much progress Claude is making in the enterprise.

"First Mentions" is a good metric for tracking momentum: keeping an existing tool in a recycled job description is a passive decision, but explicitly adding a new technology for the very first time requires an active decision.

ChatGPT plateaued around Q3 2025, while Anthropic’s growth curve went vertical shortly after. As of early 2026, Claude has completely closed the gap and is now tying ChatGPT in new enterprise adoption.

Show HN: Which technologies are trending in job posts

I worked at GCP from 2017 and 2022 when Google was trying to figure how important it was to support PyTorch on GCP's managed training and inference services. At the time, it was really hard to get a sense for the extent to which PyTorch had made the jump from academia to industry.

One of the best sources of technographic data in industry is job post data. When employers are hiring employees who are skilled with a technology, that's a strong indicator that the technology has made the jump. So with that in mind, I put together a simple app that shows which technologies are trending in job posts from the last 3 years. I using rolling averages to smooth the charts and making it easier to see trends.

People data has ~85% coverage at the moment for people who put their resume data online. We are going to be adding some others sources (e.g. Github profiles) that will help improve coverage, particularly for technical personas.
