Was there anything that you found surprising when doing this reporting, and was there a difference in reporting on tech vs. other industries?
P.S. Really enjoyed Catch and Kill.

Hi HN, I made TextFix. It fixes selected text (spelling, grammar, clarity) using large language models and pastes it back where you were typing.
I was paying about £8/month for Raycast AI just to do this, so I vibe‑coded my own little version.
I’m dyslexic and this has been really helpful for work, especially for quick fixes and light edits. Curious what people think and what you’d want added.

I once helped clean up after a festival in the UK—a relatively small venue that hosted around 10,000 people. It was incredible to see £450 tents, used for just three nights, simply abandoned. Among the most surprising finds were £300 Rab sleeping bags still in their original packaging (apparently the weather had been too warm to need them) and cash scattered across tent floors. Walking through the aftermath felt like browsing an outdoor gear store virtually anything you could want was there, barely used after just three days.

Hello everyone,
I'm really interested in hearing about your real-world experiences with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other generative AI tools. I'd love to learn about concrete, practical applications you've found:
What specific tasks or problems are you solving with these tools?
Are you using them in a professional setting, for personal projects, or both?
Can you walk us through a typical example of how you integrate these tools into your workflow?
I'm particularly keen to hear about any surprising capabilities you've discovered or unexpected limitations you've encountered. Practical examples and specific scenarios are especially welcome!
Looking forward to hearing about your experiences and insights

I'm working on yet another AI-powered app (shocking, I know). It's a basic command-line interface (CLI) flashcard tool that uses GPT-4 to grade answers and help you learn based on how far your response is from the correct answer. You can check it out here: [AnkiCLI](https://github.com/johnny1011/AnkiCLI). It's pretty barebones—just Python and the OpenAI API. Nothing groundbreaking. If anyone has thoughts on how to make this marginally less useless, I'm all ears.

A few weeks ago, I watched a YouTube video [1] that helped me reduce my phone usage from 2-3 hours a day to less than 30 minutes. It made a significant difference in my life. Sharing the link here in case anyone needs a helpful guide.
[1] [YouTube video](https://youtu.be/Ek2eo5lrZws?si=dotZxn-EttMOmF9W)
