Pixel user here, but I feel the same way. The fact that my phones are getting heavier instead of lighter seems counterintuitive on its face.
Pixel 1 (143g)
Pixel 3 (148g)
Pixel 5 (151g)
Pixel 8 (187g)
Pixel 9 Pro (198g)
Of course the displays of these models get bigger which presumably contributes to the weight increase. But still, you'd think parts get lighter over time, not heavier.

Thank you! Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty to have Gemini convert it to python, since I'm not familiar with Deno. Appears to work just fine. I posted a gist here in case it is useful to anyone else: https://gist.github.com/appel/a6accfab384f80cb12c9c20a1075e9...
I'm of course happy to take it down if you do mind, just let me know. And thank you again!

Deeply embarrassing and disturbing. What a sad spectacle to see the President and Vice President of the United States so beholden to a foreign dictator that they would debase themselves in this way. Unpresidential doesn’t even begin to describe it.
My heart breaks for Ukraine. The outcome of the November 5, 2024, election will prove to be a tragic mistake.

For what it's worth, I was able to simply rename the ET_Fixed_Final.bin file to ET_Fixed_Final.a26 (which might not even be necessary) and drop it into the ROM folder of my Atari 2600 emulator (running via https://knulli.org/ on my Anbernic RG40XXV). It booted up just fine.

Excellent article and absolutely fair points by the author. As a kid I completely fell in love with the characters and ambiance, but got hopelessly stuck in Act 1. In fact, I don't think I ever made it out.
But man, what a great story and what a beautiful style. I always half expected to see Hollywood pick this up and turn it into a movie. Just imagine what the folks at Pixar could do with this (with Tim Schafer as executive producer, of course).

Yeah, that sounds perfect. To go from my 256GB P8 to a 256GB P9 Pro would cost me about $610 + 10% tax after trade-in which I don't think I'll have the stomach for.
