I just launched Trivia Snack: a game built for quick, bite‑sized trivia with questions your whole friend group can enjoy.

There are no obscure references—just universally fun, family‑friendly questions.

My inspiration came from Google Assistant's Lucky Trivia, which was discontinued a couple of years ago. I loved playing it with my family, since it delivered a fast, light trivia experience with just a few questions. After failing to find another trivia app that offered something just as simple and fun, I decided to build my own.

Each question has been written by me, and the app is paid to reflect the time and effort that went into creating it. That said, if anyone here would like to try it for free, please let me know in a comment below. I’d be more than happy to send you a free promo code! :)

Caps lock has an amazing spot without being useful enough to deserve it. I think like another comment mentioned - having a shortcut for locking caps might be better than having a whole key for it..

I am trying to get a feel for how many people use caps lock compared to how many feel like it's wasted space.

For a little backstory, I have been working on a MacOS app for a while now called Triggered which allows you to remap your caps lock key to any shortcut. I finally got it working in a way that it can be distributed on the Mac App Store within Apple's Sandbox (unlike 3rd party downloads which get more access).

In figuring out how best to promote the app, I am trying to see what the general sentiment around Caps Lock is.

I always use the Shift key instead of caps lock, and so for me triggering a shortcut I use daily is a lot more useful.

The app does not need Accessibility or Input Monitoring permission.

The inspiration came from personal difficulty. I use a stopwatch to track how much work I get done each day. This means I turn the stopwatch on whenever I am being productive, and have to toggle it dozens of times a day.

It has taken me several attempts to get it to work - including tons of failed approaches as well. Sometimes it would work in Xcode but not in production, but I finally got it to work reliably now!

The app is paid since it took me a lot of time to find the right approach to make it work, but if someone really needs a promo code please let me know and I will provide one in the comments.

I tried several stopwatch apps, and even made one myself, but having to navigate to the menu bar each time to start / stop was frustrating when toggling so many times a day.

A couple months ago I saw a video talking about reconfiguring the caps lock key on windows to become useful, but macOS has limited customization options. This led to the idea for this app.
