I built simple Git-based CMS for Hugo static site generators.
No backend, no database, no configs. Just login with Github, select your repo and start editing.
If you use Hugo for blogging, feel free to check it out at https://github.com/arashthr/hugo-flow
> Why did you make it?
I wanted to be able to write posts on my phone, and it's not easy to do that with Markdown. Adding images is also always a headache: copy them, minimize and compress them, remember the correct syntax for images, and type the path.
> How did you make it?
I used Google Stitch for the design and Antigravity for coding.
> What about alternatives?
Check out Front-end interfaces page in Hugo website. None of them is as simple and dumb as I wanted.
> But is it actually working?
It's not perfect, but it works well for me. You're welcome to open issues if you find problems.

True. But look at the situation in Iran. As much as internet seems like an essential part of daily life, there is the possibility for the governments to shut it down.

After Pocket shut down, I started working on a new bookmarking solution. My main goal was to make bookmarks searchable, something that Pocket was not good at.
So I built Pensive, a bookmarking solution that saves the full page content and makes it searchable with full-text search. You can add pages using a browser extension or a Telegram bot (for saving on mobile).
It is written in Go with PostgreSQL, all Dockerized on a $5 Hetzner server, and the front end is built with HTMX.
I have also added embeddings (using Gemini Flash Lite) to let LLMs interact with your bookmarks contextually.
It is stable enough that I now use it daily. I’m considering publishing it as open source, but first I want to have a proper version ready. Feel free to email me if you’re interested in helping out or if you have prior experience with open source.
Feel free to try it at https://getpensive.com

I’ve been building https://getpensive.com a bookmarking app I started after Pocket shut down.
I wanted three things Pocket didn’t offer:
1. A search-first experience
2. Integration with tools I already use (like Telegram)
3. A way to actually review saved content, with help from LLMs and spaced repetition
Still in beta, but usable. Would love to hear thoughts or your experience on building a product like this.

Just like many others, I also have this problem: it’s getting harder and harder to find the articles I’ve read later.
There’s so much great content I come across every day that, in my experience, it’s rather difficult, if not impossible, to find it again by searching Google.
So I started building a personal solution to keep the stuff I read searchable.
There are existing tools that try to solve this, but I have some unique requirements that pushed me to create my own. Things like Telegram integration, weekly summaries, and indexing YouTube content.
More importantly, I felt the pain enough that I was motivated to work on it as a side project.
A good example is the frustration and disappointment I had with Pocket: the search functionality was terrible, and each update seemed to make the product less usable.
I’ve now got a working prototype, and I’m putting on the final touches. Let me know if you have any thoughts, or email me if you’d like to try it out.

As an alternative to YouTube I use NewPipe and I'm quite happy with it.

I also like to add "Pragmatic Thinking and Learning: Refactor Your Wetware" by Andy Hunt
It can be considered as a followup of pragmatic programmer.
For me the main challenge is to how to stay relevant in days of constant change, and the best answer seems to be constant learning. So, let's learn how to learn! And this is exactly the main topic of this book.
