> This leads me to believe that most people either get lucky and then apply a framework in retrospect to justify their luck
Yes, congratulations on finding the truth.
This is the pattern 95% of business, psychology and other pseudoscience is built upon.
The 2 main system reasons behind it: 1) any complex system cannot be really calculated farther in the future than a very short timeframe 2) natural human brain tendency to organize the observed universe into patterns.
The good news is that if you keep buying lottery tickets your chances of winning at least once also grow.

> It is about the thought leaders becoming dumb
As i said “they are getting power”. Through exposure, normalization, through all the dumb people getting vote rights (and voting guess how) etc.
Nothing is poisoned in tge human nature. It just plays out differently in this age.

I don’t share any of the pessimism.
If you are at least tiny bit curious about looking beyond your IT bubble you know that the majority of population has always been dumb. It’s just biological fact of life.
For better or worse hundreds years ago they didn’t get any power. Today they got internet, got exposure and got power. Nothing is changing on a fundamental human nature or statistical level.

It’s easy and hard at the same time.
Eady because you derive that directly from your hierarchy of values.
Hard because you can’t just “decide” what your hierarchy of values is. There is a significant transcendental part to it that critically depends on other people, on your environment, even God.
This is why many stuck in a limbo of analyzing and rationality justifying their goals.
So eventually all people do the same thing - they just pick whatever their intuition tells them from available options. That’s the framework.

One of the boring and meaningless movies I ever seen. No arc, no coherent story, (almost) no humor, no development, no intrigue, nothing.
Only nice picture - then it qualifies as a good YouTube video, not really a movie. Because movies have some laws of the genre, this thing doesn’t even break any laws like great art does sometimes. It just presents a series of visially appealing but fundamentally dumb clips.
I envy people who have so much spare time to waste it on this so called art.

Americans have an amazing trait to make money and marketing bullshit out of almost any idea, however great or silly it originally is.
In the process they usually spoil and dumb down it to the point of making no sense (but making more money).
Happiness? Fine! Well sell that.
Happiness is overrated? Even better! Let’s wrap that and shove it down the throat of different focus group.
This is just brilliant.

Israel-Lebanon Maritime Boundary Agreement — 2022
Those only that were applied, many more offers were rejected by other side.
