Forcing it does seem a little excessive

Still, I'm confused how a machine on H24 hasn't already gone to 25 via regular updates

Are there a bunch of folks who've been hitting 'don't upgrade now' since late last year?

Something that might work is downloading the current ISO, then mount it and run the setup

I'm far from a MS apologist, but this is upgrading a soon-to-be-unsupported version of Windows 11 to the current version

I've had mixed luck with that auto 31 jewel Vostok movement - one still going strong (although it did have to be sent back to RU for attention), and another that completely gave up the ghost

Prior to certain geopolitical events they could be had for under three figures, which is a steal if you got a good one

The danger with the older ones is that the rubber seals might be toast - if it's an Amphibia this kind of defeats the object of a dive watch

Funny you say this, because for a good while I was running OC'd RAM

I didn't see any instability, but Event Viewer was a bloodbath - reducing the speed a few notches stopped the entries (iirc 3800MHz down to 3600)

Not a bad call, although you'll probably need to upgrade the PSU to add a GPU (if you can find one small enough to fit the SFF case)

On Dell you'll probably be stuck with the original mobo, and their SFFs don't take standard PSUs

I got bit by this. RMA'd the bad drive and the replacement hasn't had problems (iirc it was made in a different country to the faulty one)

I meant it seems contradictory that they'll let loners in at 8:50pm, but when the hour hits they suddenly start having seizures and hassling people
