The Suica app doesn't even work on my Pixel 10 Pro, since it requires an Android phone with some sort of Japan-specific hardware (FeliCa/Osaifu-Keitai technology, whatever that is, I'm assuming some special NFC or secure enclave sort of thing).

I've been writing HTML for at least 20 years professionally and this has absolutely not been my experience. Yes, I've encountered some people using divs for everything but in the vast majority of cases people have used semantically correct HTML, at least when it comes to buttons.

"use strict" has been around since 2009. That being said, this is not a TypeScript or React feature but yet another black box magic NextJS feature to try to lock you into the Vercel ecosystem.

I'm from The Netherlands and I've seen carts with locking wheels. Granted it's very rare, but definitely a thing.

I've lived in the US as well and have never seen them there, but it's a big country.

Komodo was my favorite editor. There weren't many editors at that point in time that had great Perl support.

The only people losing faith in Google (search) are power users such as us. Regular users haven't noticed the decline, and search may even have improved for them. We are not Google Search's target audience. We need to stop pretending all products are built for the power user niche.

Reading this as I'm just coming down from a migraine. I've been getting them since I was a young teen. I get migraines with aura. They used to last for hours. Sometimes I get them multiple times per week, then they disappear for months/years and suddenly will get them again. No significant life or dietary changes in between. I've never been able to pin down what causes them.

These days they've become much more manageable. The aura and headache part takes 30-60 minutes as opposed to 5+ hours when I was a teen. I do experience brainfog, fatigue, dizzyness and nausea for 24+ hours afterwards, but at least I'm not stuck under the covers for hours.

My Bose headphones also aren't usable while charging. Very frustrating. I don't care if there are technical reasons. It's just bad UX.

I really dislike TAA, especially on lower framerates. There's too much ghosting. I often switch it to a slower algorithm just so I don't get ghosting.

We maintain a fairly large and complex CRA application, which has been migrated to Vite, but not fully.

Since a lot of changes would be needed and we are very risk averse (heavily regulated industry), we decided to do it piecemeal by first configuring Vite to behave exactly (or as close to as possible) like CRA and later removing these Vite configurations one by one (and making necessary code changes).

Currently our production builds are done through CRA while dev runs Vite. It works really well and minimal code changes were needed.

I've been wanting to release this config publicly to help others migrate to Vite, but have unfortunately not had time to.
