<p>Machine learning is indeed extremely good at pattern recognition, but I wouldn't trust an LLM to reliably identify patterns, especially in a medical context. As other commenters have said, this article is evidence of classical methods continuing to be useful.</p>

<p>Honestly not quite a fair assumption. Some schools have students use neurips templates for class submissions (at least my graduate school did), and so these students may have just been using this format out of habit/familiarity.</p>

<p>The question to which you are replying still stands. How can you guarantee that the responses generated by the LLM are factually accurate? What if it refers to interfaces that don’t exist? One could argue that in your particular use case some inaccuracies can be tolerated, but in many use cases factual inaccuracies cannot be tolerated.</p>
