Here is a better algorithm to edify the masses: if someone is such a massive billionaire as to have the boldness to teach the public basic 5th-grade math, their wealth tax rate should be set at 10%. From that point on, the rate goes in proportion to their level of condescension.

The latest political crackdown in Turkey has created a situation where a lot of journalists and politicians found themselves under the same roof. Trying to deduce general principles from many particular instances is not "learned helplessness". If one wants to understand a system, it's best not to delude oneself with myths, but to spell out the pattern that is confirmed by many observations. A strong myth that keeps the American people in their current state is the idea that the US has a democratic government at the federal level. Once they get over that myth, they might actually be able to make it true.

The military industrial complex always wins in the US, even if the whole reason why you get elected is because you were against it. A majestic mockery of democracy.

The two-party system is not really a coalition system, is it? For one, there is no way for minority factions within parties to exert effective control over the other factions, no? A prime example being how the centrist majority of the Democratic party crushed the democratic socialist faction.
