Did you try it? I didn't know better and tried it long time ago. Cast iron skillet that was used for years. After few times in dishwasher significant chunk of seasoning was gone.

Paper maps are pretty heavy downgrade in a lot of places compared to something that have satellite + osm + topographic map. They are often outdated or not nearly as detailed.

I misread parent comment but this was exactly my point. A lot of people die from flu although there is vaccine and mortality rate is at least one magnitude lower than Covid-19 and hospitals are not overwhelmed.

Lets do the math. We will assume that 100% individuals switched to electric cars and heat.
Commercial and Residential Sector Emissions for US - 12%
All Transportation for US - 29% (It includes rail and aircraft. Only 60% of it is light duty vehicle and I couldnt find what percentage of it is commercial transport)
So we have 12%+ 29%0,6 = 32%. It is big number but now we have to produce same amount of energy in electricity. 79% of all electricity generation was fossil fuels.
32% (0.21) = 7%
So even if all individuals will stop using fossil fuels for heat and will use electric cars for transportation. We will have less than 10% of reduction.

100 companies are responsible for 71% of emissions. Projects that you have listed are important but more likely only help individuals to feel that something is being fixed instead of any real impact.

For steam games enable proton for all games. For all others try Lutris.
Proton is very good default option because valve worked to make a lot of game playable with it.
Lutris have specific profiles for specific game/software release so it can install required wine version and winetricks and sometimes even patches.

They just not very clear. If you language "in progress" then you need collect 5k sentences. They have special web app called "sentence collector". In which you can approve sentences or add new ones. Each sentence should be approved by 3 people. After sentences are approved they get released to GitHub. After 5k sentences are approved you will be able to record audio and listen to recordings as in any other "big" language. As practice shows you need very small amount of people to do it. 4-5 is enough.

There is feedback in sentence collector. If your sentence too long it will tell you straight away. If your sentence is rejected by people it will appear in "rejected sentences" tab. If your sentences are approved you can see it in GitHub repo.

I don't argue that iPhone was revolutionary although I think it was way less revolutionary than average consumer thinks. I argue with very specific claim. OP have claimed that "being able to use a browser anywhere was the killer feature" and it is just not true because most of the market could do it. All symbian, blackberry and Windows Mobile phones could do it.
>Did you forget large touchscreen, no physical buttons and no need for stylus?
iPhones did have physical home button and O2 XDA II from 2003 has the same touchscreens size as original iPhone. Also you are forgetting that first capacitive touchscreens were awful. Qwerty keyboard or resistive touchscreen were just nicer to use. And you didn't have to use stylus. Most people who I know used stylus in few very specific applications and they just use finger for most tasks but to be fair you had to be very precise.
