Did you know ... in many countries government tracks car number plates and the data is stored for many years.

About removing the modem. ....

I always though ...just need to remove the ... the antenna .. modem would always get no signal and transmissons would always fail....

Same for the GPS.

To verify- no other hiddwen transmitters could use some RF( Radio Frequency) analyzers

[RF analyzer (ie spectrum analyzer) is a tool for measuring the power, frequency, and signal strength of radio frequency signals.]

To get around this problem , I personally use a ON/Off extension and only load images if article "...is interesting enough ..." But yes, lots of images only have a very weak usefulness ....

Made me think of how I dislike articles, " often from newspapers " that seem to add (often several) photos only weekly related to article content when in my opinion only a few ( 1 or 2 ) are useful. I use a Image on/off extension, and only load images when I'm reading an article and it seems "... interesting enough ..." A side effect of such a browser extension is it reduces PC .resources. I also sometimes save a page with out images ..

My first immediate thought when I saw the title "...first photo published in a newspaper..." was to image a newspaper photo with obvious dots or their proper name "Halftones"

A few googles reveal much detail about the process including that it was used up to 1990s

Multiday renewable droughts ( solar and wind ) are a significant challenge. ( A further problem would be if a renewables drought occurred at a (multiday) peak demand period ) Appropriate (often new) wide area, power transmission networks can help to reduce this risk. Renewables also need to be over provisioned to reduce the risks, which could be blackouts or some kind of power rationing (via "smart meters" )

What happens when there is wide bad weather for renewables? ( for a range of days from 1 - several) Where would the power needed come from?

If, it was to be from some kind of storage, Extra capacity would be needed to allow recharging of the storage

In short: Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest is taking social media giant Meta to a US federal court over scam ads using his likeness without permission.

The mining magnate says he "has been plagued for years by paid ads and sponsored content produced by Meta Ads and run on Meta's Australian social media platforms".

What's next? The judge is expected to rule on Mr Forrest's motion in the coming weeks.

Must be used all around the world. My parents had one on our farm in the 70s. Maybe it is still there- as a "back up" tractor. I remember it well.

[offtopic] Ive always wondered why a conversion has not been offered ( by someone ) for apple phones to make, it so the battery can be replaced by end user? It would be a case modification somehow. Some kind of new "back"
