Wth, are you people crazy? Never, under any circumstances, don’t share personal details during job interviews.
Instead have a list prepared with the BS question list like: what is your greatest achievement, what is your biggest failure, how did you deal with some difficult relationship in the team, how did you unblock some item etc etc. Use chatgpt for preparation, what you say there has to be very vague and not pointing to any of your previous employers or colleagues.
No way this part of the interview process should be something where you, excuse my French, display your underwear, but instead you should be able to prove that you are capable to deal with some difficult inter human situations.

OpenBSD was a great OS back in the late 90s and even early 2000s. In some cases it was competing neck to neck with Linux.
Since then, well, Linux grew a lot and OpenBSD not so much. There are multiple causes for this, I will go only through a few: Linux has more support from the big companies; the huge difference in userbase numbers; Linux is more welcoming to new users. And the difference is only growing.

I remember working in performance for a company that was building video delivery systems. That was about 10 years ago, but I still remember the celebration of 80Gbps, that was when we could deliver live HD quality events to about 5000 downstream customers using one such device. That was the hardware capacity of the platform that was used at that point.
I guess that technology evolved since then, but even so serving 1M customers shouldn’t need more than 200 instances. My wild guess is that Netflix either didn’t autoscale or that the rebalancing/anycast mechanism didn’t work properly.

If that’s the case then 890ns is quite terrible. If for some reason you want to do this in software then the latency should be somewhere below 100ns.

Seems to me that this a story mostly about the very long settlement process that is specific to US, and less to the rest of the civilized world.
Regarding the use of a digital currency, what Pix is missing, and what a cryptocurrency has, is the decentralization mechanism. All the ops are still controlled by a centralized entity, in this case the Brazilian Central Bank. Am I missing something?

My opinion is that private equity is the biggest scam of them all.
It’s essentially just money poured in unregulated markets, fueling unaudited businesses very often highly in debt and running on very shaky grounds, in such way that they could have never been listed publicly. The whole private equity sector is kept alive only by more money poured into system and more debt, in the end looking very similar to a pyramid scheme.

I think that the biggest problem is that Google is ashamed of what it is: an advertising company. Until they start embracing their own brand and meaning, there will be a constant stream of toxicity flowing between middle managers who don’t clear see and align with the company goals.
