Looks interesting. But where’s the privacy policy or at least information what happens with all the sensitive stuff you enter there. Because let’s be honest, a lot of the stuff that is awkward to talk about is somewhat private.

> Lately the EU Commission came up with a plan to create an inventory of every single valuable items owned by every single EU citizen: from Magic The Gathering and Pokemon cards to jewelry/heirloom, paintings, gold and silver coins/bars, cryptocurrencies coins, watches, cars, boats, etc. Anything with some value: would go in the inventory.
>The European Parliament asked the question: "Can you guarantee us this will never ever be used as a basis to confiscate these items?" to which the European Commission answered: "No, we cannot guarantee that".
Excuse me for not taking this at face value but this sounds like disinformation. Where did you get that from?

Of course there’s exaggeration. Nobody really believes this person was kidnapped by the German train company.
People do get kicked off trains, usually it’s the entire train that is being emptied. Happened to me in NRW. Happened to me in Brandenburg. When there’s a problem with the train, then sometimes it has to be evacuated.
He would have not been entitled to a cab ride by the way, he was travelling with Deutschlandticket. Your entire comment is not only pedantic, it’s also completely wrong lol.

What if it’s a small apartment, but the life is a significant albeit marginal improvement over life in a shelter? Would it make a difference if it were a shelter where animals are killed after a certain period without being adopted?
Please note that I’m on purpose phrasing this to be a bit contrarian. Not trying to rattle any cages (no pun intended), just found myself initially agreeing with you and then not being sure anymore.

There’s a big difference between somebody not being your friend and somebody being your enemy. I’ve had a similar experience with a sub par employee, who at some point admitted that he wasn’t doing his best at work because he was "only there to exchange his time for money, not make any meaningful contributions".
That guy was absolutely immersed in internet culture, making him less self-aware and very unpleasant to work with.

In German en dashes are more common than em dashes. I’ve been using them regularly for at least 20 years, both in German and English texts. I never liked it when people just threw in ordinary hyphen instead of an en dash, but few people note the difference.
