And then there was the morroco, greek and italian floods.

Its expected to hit mountanous areas the hardest, devaluing cities in valleys like they are in a warzone. And this is the smallest, obvious event series kept on the downlow, because society already falls apart, loosing its structure.

The middle eastern cultures where better at that and that wasnt enough. Its in the ability to peoduce institutions which then produce a tech/power gradient that allows exploitation. Keeping cultures artificially alive that can not do that is artificially prolonging inevitable change.

The proof is in the pudding. You can not conquer with so few so much unless, the locals welcome you as a useful liberator from grotesq tyranny and try to use you as a tool of liberation. The conquistadores are a display of how volatile tyranny based empires are. To then only be replaced by even more tyranny, after the chaos of revolution and disease.

Culture is a ritualized enslavement of the sexual other into a contract upholding institution. This institution may progress and diversify in time, forming a meta family aka a high trust society given economic circumstances. Not all cultures can form these contractcults and if you cant you are screwed in a world of large powers and nuclear proliferation.

Day to day Decisions are overrated. Like the pivoting betwern product decisions. The only decisions worth scrutiny are investments into capabilities. A product may fizzle out, a capability stays with you and makes you permanently valuable. I may manifest as a product, as a service leased to other companies.

Art is basically a value tokken store for the super wealthy and they keep it valuable by limiting the supply to what is "valuable" art by forming one huge cartell. Gallerys, museums, art brokers are either in this cArtel or they are not.

Your value as an artist depends not on the quality of your art, but mostly by your ability to sell yourself to and into service to these cArtells. Like any scam demanding free labour and enthusiasm by the young, the art industry has an aura that it projects to scoop up daydreamers and those rebelling.

So why does open source support microsofts strategy by insisting the users throw away years of hard learned user knowledge (shortcuts, program quirks)? If you do it different from the defacto standards, you put a tax in time on users switching.
