“Deliberate misinterpretation”-? “Colored by his treatment”-? such an interesting choice of words. You’re very good at this euphemism dance.
Bravo.
So if I “discover” a house down the street I’ve never seen before, I “achieved” the title of “discoverer” as well! Ok so I guess he did “accomplish” something, I stand corrected.:
He “discovered” the place that was not called Hispaniola by any of the people that called it home.
He “discovered” the gold that those people were literally wearing at their home. I guess that means he can keep that too?
He “discovered” that he could force those at gun point to bring him all the gold they could find from their home.
He “discovered” that he could coerce the people into doing that by beheading the leaders of their home.
He “discovered” he and his crew could rape the women they found in their home.
Such an interesting choice of words you were taught to describe home invasion, rape, murder, robbery.

I’m not working those fields, neither will anyone I know. Will you, or anyone you know?
Those field workers, that literally keep us fed, have like 2/3 the life expectancy of the average American in the same area, or something ridiculous like that. Too lazy to google the exact numbers at the moment (on my phone). This is an open “secret” of the industry. Sadly slavery still exists, just doesn’t look like it used to.
I think you think you know more than you actually know. When I started reading about it, I wished I hadn’t. I felt sick to my stomach hearing the shit that still goes on to this day.
“Looting the coffers for welfare…” <- this is hilariously wrong. If I recall correctly, illegal typically pay into the system, but typically do not withdraw for fear of deportation. Your numbers are backwards. Last I checked, white Americans were the largest recipients of welfare by a substantial margin.
The reality is so bad, I can’t stomach learning any more about it. I feel so awful for those poor people.

There’s a growing consensus that this number is way, way off, considering just how good women tend to be at masking compared to men.
I’ve met many women with the same story that didn’t even know they were autistic until they heard someone explain “masking” behavior as an autistic coping mechanism, and they said: “wait, isn’t that what everybody does?” They then go to a doctor to help them understand, etc.
Lots of actresses have it, some of them are public about it.
I’m surprised to see that 80% number cited without bold caveats mentioning the limitations.
Historically most clinical studies up until around the 2000’s were done with a large percentage of participants being white men, often times there were NO WOMEN in the study.
A lot of rework is being done, which is great to see, but that’s going to take a long time before we have a true understanding of the variations between sexes caused by nature and/or nurture.

The context, which is always important, was too provide several counter examples of there being no obviously major impairment to intelligence that would make a person dumb and lazy.
Laziness is basically a myth/misunderstanding of the underlying cause. The use of the word is made in ignorance of the science.
Though I’ll admit, while high, my thinking is different, it isn’t dumber.
I don’t suddenly forget facts I knew beforehand.
The speed at which I solve a puzzle would be slower, thus I wouldn’t operate heavy machinery, but that’s not because I have lost the knowledge of how to do so. It’s (partly) related to the altered state of the mechanisms that affect my perception of time (among other things).
For a supposedly pro-science website, there always so many (often proudly) ignorant takes on scientific research.
I think I’m just now starting to realize that by trying to avoid the arm chair quarterbacking amateurs that couldn’t perform anything they criticize people about (in athletics), I’ve just traded it for armchair quarterbacking of scientists about something they know nothing about. Yet here I am getting sucked into doing (almost) the same thing (with only a motivational difference of attempting to identify poorly constructed studies that will end up being fuel for the anti-bodily autonomy crowd.

Yeah, any topic that even remotely ventures near the topic of violating someone’s bodily autonomy should always trigger defensiveness in my opinion.
Governments should have zero privileges concerning any human’s decisions about their own body. They should instead be vehemently upholding those rights. Funding education and scientific research to help people make those decisions and about the risks of their choices when exercising those rights is fine.
That’s it.
The right and the left are both historically terrible at this, but lately it’s been mostly the right.
I swear the inmates are running the asylum over there now. I hope they can find their way back to sanity.
