One company looking to capitalize on this is Onehouse, a three-year-old Californian startup founded by Vinoth Chandar, who created the open source Apache Hudi project while serving as a data architect at Uber. Hudi brings the benefits of data warehouses to data lakes, creating what has become known as a “data lakehouse,” enabling support for actions like indexing and performing real-time queries on large datasets, be that structured, unstructured, or semi-structured data.

Data-warehousing becomes ubiquitous and open-source with Iceberg. Powerful open-source RTA (real-time-analytics) engines like ClickHouse are designed for crunching numbers as fast as possible. How can you use Iceberg and ClickHouse together to burn the rubber over glacially slow storage?

Hello all, looking for recommendations on Analytics tools for user behavior. This would include link tracking and journeys where anonymous user data can be later tied to an account after sign-in. Common Room is an awesome tool and love to use it, but it doesn't do this at the moment.
We have Amplitude, but didn't use it because the implementation costs, time and maintenance are too much.
I know there is GA4, but again, implementation of that requires tech resources and maintenance. There's also products like Mixpanel, Pendo, etc. I'm intrigued by Heap.
Anyone have experience with it? I need something that is:
- Low threshold to implement.
- Low maintenance code-wise
- Excellent dashboard reporting

I'm looking for help from the larger community. I'm looking for tools to help compare OSS communities to each other.
I'll be even more specific. Say I'm an OSS OLAP database and I want to have as much mindshare as Trino. Is there a tool that can tell me how I compare my OSS product/community to theirs. I'm thinking along several dimensions.
- Technical Parity: Focus on core functionality, performance, and query compatibility with Trino.
- Ecosystem Parity: Ensure smooth integration with existing tools and ecosystem.
- Community Parity: Strive for similar levels of user engagement, contribution, and support.
The closest I've seen is just measuring my own community using Common Room (commonroom.io) but they don't provide scorecard features that track key KPIs (they do track new members numbers and engagement rates but want more) and telling me what we need to work on. Thoughts?

Before we start, what is TPC-H and TPC-DS and why are they important?
TPC-H and TPC-DS are important because they are industry standard benchmarks for measuring the performance of data warehouse and big data systems. They are widely used by vendors and customers to evaluate the performance of different systems and to compare the performance of the same system over time.
