That is a serious security question. Actually a lot of apps offer free scan of your hand for different reasons. But it sounds like a security breach in the way that evolution of services with different types of security features like your face scan for phone and much more. So who is grabbing all that data, and why?

It is just a point of pragmatism. Countries that wish to bring manufacturing back to their country just have to use people to do that just like they used people to put the production outside. Which by the way will produce lot of business :)

The point about security is that it seems to present the same failure as kvm is for Linux kernel. If the hypervisor is in the ring 0 you have the risk of VM escape from one to another or the host itself.

How do you mitigate that risk?
