While I'm always skeptical of the claims of AI companies and have been skeptical of Anthropics claims about the dangers of their Mythos model, the fact that the US government is taking this seriously enough to send this type of order is strong evidence in their favor.

Good enough for it's intended use as a ferry in South America. But it's going to need to be towed there from Tasmania.

With investments AI and robotics automation, I've long been convinced that capitalism is going to eat off its own head, even before the current AI boom.
The general public won't accept a system where only a small few have the means to get by and without much work being available to humans anymore, we'll need an alternative economic system, or face serious civil unrest.
With capitalism, for work to be done, you need the possibility of homelessness and/or other types of poverty to motivate humans to work. But that isn't required for robots.

For the malicious bot authors, if WebGL is a "free pass" so that their browser is not detected as a bot, they'll simply switch to a chrome based browser such as CloakBrowser, which already passes CloudFlare Turnstile.
So no real benefit for bot detection here. Just a privacy nightmare for everyone else.

One well known problem with OpenRouter is routing to poor quality model providers who quant the models.
So you think for example you're using Kimi k2.6....but behind the scenes, it's the 4b or 8b quantized versions.
So for open source models, I've started using the providers own service. In the case of Kimi, I don't trust any provider other than moonshot not to quant the model. So far this seems to be getting better results.
If I see a provider not specifiying if they quant or not, I assume that they do.
I'll still use OpenRouter to try new models out, but not for any real work.

A domain expert might know if a system produces correct results.
But they know nothing about the scaling, performance or maintenance of a system that will inevitably come up in production.
They also can't tell if the code created is maintainable, or unmaintainable sphagetti code.
What happens if there is a race condition, or a memory leak?

I've booked an appointment with a real lawyer, not going to rely on AI for anything important legal wise.
I am, however, going to be extensively using AI to prepare for the appointment. A list of questions to ask, what to bring etc. I've also used AI to research in advance what the likely answers will be, so I'll have an idea of follow up questions to ask.
That should hopefully save additional appointments (and billable hours).
