I feel there’s a lot of marketing and pure bullshit around LLMs configuration and conventions.
Law of diminishing returns applies here perfectly - you can learn prompting in 2 hours and get 400% performance boost or spend weeks on subagents and skills and Opus and st best it’s another 50% boost but not really - in my case in a good day Sonnet is a genius and on a bad one Opus is an moron. One day the same query consumes 6k tokens, the next 700k.
They want to get you hooked and need to show investors they’re super busy but in fact it’s mostly smoke and mirrors. And prompting, once you learn to give proper context, is far from rocket science.

I don’t drink, I never smoked, I eat clean, I run, I swim, I go to the gym. But I’m also at my desk for 13 hours a day on average and I think it will kill me one day. Trying to stand as much as possible but it’s not always possible,

I battled PF for ages, tried literally everything, and when nothing worked, my feet were in pain I decided to do the dumbest thing in the world and try to only thing I was told I shouldn’t do - run.
I picked a day when my plantar fascia was not too painful and did the first training from c25k plan (roughly 8 minutes of jogging if I remember correctly).
It actually helped me. Don’t try it at home, I think I got lucky because my PF was really not a PF anymore. But I would never found out if I did not run that day. I’ve been running daily ever since, no issues whatsoever.

Interesting as I currently work with 15 year old RoR database and a 2 years old Node project and every time I jump into the later I want to kill myself.
And I’m a mainly JS dev. Node is extremely easy to f up, so is the frontend. And with all the generated code today… it’s gonna get only worse.

I think DHH was right all along. Typescript is cool if you use it alone but from my experience code like the one produced by the OP gets written by some ex-Java ninja and out of 1000 devs maybe 5 could fully comprehend what the code actually does. AI writes this kind of TS a lot. I don’t say TS is bad but most of the time I feel it’s like trying to kill a fly with a nuke. The worst part is I almost never had the issues TS tries to solve, after all adding prototypes to React took 1/10th of the time than annoyances with TS take.
Great job OP, but my eyes bleed.

I feel like the world order established after WWII is falling apart not because of tyrants like Putin (as he’s always been this way) but because we started to normalize talking about taking over other countries, dropping “refugees” by mafia and terrorist orgs at our borders, and on top of that we truly treat each other like shit - no amount of PhDs and FAANG exp will make you safe against CFOs Excel sheets…
We really had a good run but something needs to give at last. I hate how polarized we all are, and I just want to love you all.
(I’m not American, the big split happens everywhere globally and I believe it’s even worse in my country even tho we border with Russia and should be unified like never before)

Italy? Portugal? You must be new to tech, eh?
Policemen in Italy make many times more than software engineers.
DocPlanner has opened an office in Barcelona over 10 years ago to save on dev salaries, people got paid more in Warsaw even back then.
Portugal is kinda dead as a country.
What I found more fascinating is that Poland surpassed Sweden, not a tech powerhouse for sure but it’s Scandinavia, super freaking expensive.
