That's really not the case at all. It is much more likely that some would be immune due to individual variation.

I suppose it's not guaranteed, but a counterexample has never been demonstrated (across species, AFAIK).

It's definitely strong and has an intense herbal flavor. There are far viler spirits, though (try Suze). Personally I find it an enjoyable sipper!

I have the same problem. Some good mitigations are dark mode on the computer and using very dark, yellow/brown alpine sunglasses in bright sun.
