A lot of people buy CS2 community servers to use a WeaponPaints addon which allows anyone in the server to use any skin.

I’d say 90% of ours have it enabled.

They used to ban accounts but I don’t think they have (on community servers) since it went F2P.

Will be very similar to this type of abuse report someone got on their Hetzner server (even though it had no piracy activity);

If the location (USA) is key, then fair enough but if not, just buy one of their dedicated servers and get unlimited[1] traffic.

Only outgoing external traffic is counted.

If your provider has an API for the firewall/protection, just use fail2ban with cURL to block certain traffic.

We mainly run game servers - not sure how helpful that would be.

The thing you pay for with cloud servers is not having to do the up-keep of the host machine. They tend to have many more drives than you’d get with a bare metal server.

I have many OVH and Hetzner servers (cloud and dedicated) but not sure I’d find a use for this.
