Been using the Advantage for decades. Splitting the two sides is a terrific idea. Always wanted to mount a split keyboard to the sides of a zero-gravity chair so will try it out with this.
Two features I wished they would offer:
1. A nub-mouse like the Thinkpad
2. A touchpad in the center of the keyboard (not needed for the split)

The first job is the hardest, nothing to be ashamed about. Maybe start by observing what skills are in high demand in your area and fill that need. I started by taking lots of small contracts that were 'beneath' my skills like html websites, simple javascript apps, etc. Not proud but even took a $300 contract to do someones homework, lol. Good luck.

I thought where you were going with this is that since smartphones are so ubiquitous any sort of AR system should utilize the phone for its primary processing. A headset is needed though for AR, it just has to be much smaller and lighter before they become mainstream.

This really captures many of the differences. I'll just add that though we have more content creators today the motivation is what's really changed so much.
Back then it was harder to share your own content, either by learning HTML or hosting your own server and no real monetary rewards for doing so, and no social status indicators except for maybe 'hit counters'. Because of this it was passion for the topic that motivated people to share with far less focus on how it looked or the way it was presented.
Now with advertising, upvoting and platform biases people are more judgemental while reading others work. The motivation to create traffic and increase social outreach changed the nature of sharing itself.

Yeah the article starts with "To understand just how unaffordable owning a home can be in American cities today, look at the case of a teacher in San Francisco seeking his or her first house."
You could just as easily write how now is the most affordable time to buy real estate and use Mississippi as your model.
“Numbers never lie, after all: they simply tell different stories depending on the math of the tellers.”
