In these large trials I assume they are not trying to separate someone who just drinks black coffee from someone who drinks coffee with a lot of sugar (mochas ect…). So the negative affects of daily consumption of sugar and dairy could offset whatever positive affects might have been possible.

I have to disagree with your assessment of notebooks. I use them mostly for exploratory data analysis. It’s great for being able to view multiple graphs at the same time, tweak some parameters and see what changes. Then of course being able to easily share your findings. I agree as a development environment it has a lot of drawbacks. Hard to debug and global variables galore. I don’t view them as an end to end solution but as one step in the workflow

I like this tool a lot. I wouldn’t mind having a similar concept applied to YouTube. If you actively try and watch videos from a different viewpoint then your recommendations are all over the place.

That looks pretty slick...

I dont know how much having a nice UI helps with understanding / training but it sure makes it nicer to work with and helps in demonstrating concepts.

Ya true. I usually end up jumping around depending on use case. Matplotlib ,seaborn, plotly to name a few.

Even if I take your description of them their not in the same category. Conspiracy theorist and someone who promotes their own site and books is in the same category? You might disagree with Ben Shapiro and that’s fine but he’s not purposefully pushing misinformation.
