GLM 5.2 is priced at 1/3 of Opus. Depending on who you ask for a napkin math.

Not worth it in my opinion.

You'll get 10x more value by using MiMo 2.5 or DeepSeek Flash which is what I use for most code.

I think that's one of the reasons why VSCode adds AI as coauthor by default on commits when GitHub Copilot was used. To try to tag AI commits in an attempt to help filter that out in model training.

Controversial default to say the least.

This is specially visible in SQLite workflows.

The roundtrip for querying a local SQLite file is so fast that it's passable to execute N SELECTS inside a loop instead of a single SELECT with a JOIN, for example.

I'm happy for competition in this space, specially because Deno can run true TypeScript directly and not just strip types like the current Node implementation.

With that said, this is going to eat a lot of Tauri market. Why would I use Tauri now? The 150mb of additional bundle size is just an extra 1 to 10 seconds of download time in most internet connections and you get a reliable rendering engine.

DeepSeek V4 Flash being the winner in cost efficiency causes me exactly zero surprise.

It's a monster at coding. And a fast monster at that.

I use it daily and have been testing if MiMo 2.5 (non pro) is comparable. The nice thing about MiMo is that it has vision capability.
