Yeah it’s all a pain. One thing that helped was using hotwire native. It is basically a web view but it bridges the mobile app with your website and wraps it into a mobile app. This is the only way I can make apps now. Flutter never worked well for me.

Yes, you'll be hard pressed to find any Canadians at any fast food restaurants now. It's a common scam to pay a Tim Hortons owner 20-30k and he'll make you a manager at the franchise, then he'll give you a shared room where you pay monthly to live there. Then you work for free. The UN literaly wrote how Canada has created a neo-slavery system.

Hi, I used to work at a startup in Toronto that did compete against ticketmaster called Uniiverse. In the end they go bought out by ticketmaster. I don't know the details because I left way before then but this is one example of a company trying.

I didn't know sqlite had a vector extension. I'm also using nomic 1.5 with 256 size vectors. After about 44k entries searching is way too slow. I'm thinking about reducing the size to half. What size are you using?
For text search, I'm using lnx which is based off of Tantivy.
I disabled the vector search feature for now but I will re-enable it after some optimization. The site is at https://stray.video

When the Nintendo Switch became hackable, ie can play any game, Nintendo saw a massive decrease in sales in Spain. Btw people in Spain pirate the most games in Europe. The decrease was at least 40%. The idea that this is a service issue and piracy doesn’t affect sales is just PR speak. If the game is offline, it’ll be pirated a lot.

I’ve done something like this before. Meilisearch will not be viable, because it indexes very slow and it takes up a lot of space.
In my experience only Tantivy can index this much data. Check out Lnx.
