The last couple weeks have been working on a parking spot app for Taipei and New Taipei. Finding a available spot, especially during weekends is very difficult. There are some apps, but only in Mandarin, so I did a English version.

Love it. Always wanted to have something like this for the Google Watch. Easy to stay update and receive alerts, but dont need to setup a second phone/device.

I have a second Nokia phone that keeps sim cards from other countries that I dont need all the time (e.g. 2FA). Receiving txt is free and just need to top it up once per year to keep the number running.

The problem with simple auth is that it gets complicated with TOTP/2FA which I believe is necessary nowadays. I think you are right so see what is most popular with the language (python in my case) and stick to it, but there are lots of Identity providers our there and they have different pricing schemes. I will definitely check out ory.sh I have not heard of them before.
