I considered this when I rebuilt my kitchen last year but the price was obscene - starting at $1600 AUD installed.

I bought one of these for $79 instead and I’ve been perfectly happy with it.

It’s a major cause of why the U.S. shipbuilding industry can produce such a tiny number of surface combatants per year, despite having the industrial capacity to do far more if it was steady work.

Salesforce have been building an Oracle replacement based on Postgres for years, named Sayonara and as far as I know, it’s not ready yet.

And even just that aspect of the service is now extremely unreliable. If outages in the LLM side can cause that to break, that would indicate some serious architectural problems.

High rises are expensive to build. The reason they are built in the first place is that land is even more expensive, and expensive land militates for parking garages rather than open parking lots.

One of the things Iran figured out fairly quickly about Israel is that reducing their rate of fire is more effective for wearing down the population, and eroding political support for the war.

The longer Iran can keep the air raid sirens blaring in Israel, the better.
