Images on cigarette packages are of real patient and real impact and still smokers ignore it. A fake, stylized hypothetical image will have much lower impact.

That's how anyone will do it, read code, build hypothesis, test. It may not be very good with ideas compared to human but it will be cheaper.

As someone outside both USA and China. I think it is time to increase my spending on Chinese infra/services. It is imperative to have alternatives to US oligopolies else will be at whims of these techbros and govt elected by money and relgious fanaticism. So, bye-bye Claude; hello Kimi.

Is it? A mid-size server can support couple of million of users. Storage of large files may cost something but not the chat service is super simple and cheap to run.

NPCI is a public sector company with partial ownership between 46 banks. Its costs is trivial compared to savings and efficiency it brings in overall system. Cash handling is very costly for entire chain. Printing by RBI, its logistics by banks and handling by vendors.

Apart from that it is formalization of informal economy, govt has better visibility, tax evasion is difficult and people outside financial services can now use it.

Also, like Rupay has charging for transactions abover a certain threshold of value like 10000 will cover some of the costs without reducing the incentive of system.

Think of vaccines, small cost for big savings elsewhere.

Anyone aware of any official/private efforts in China or Russia to digitize or republish these books. Nowdays, finding these books particularly in languages like Hindi is very difficult.

I have very fond memory of these books. We are from lower middle class family in India. My dad was fond of books. Western books were costly, but Soviet and Chinese books were of high quality and cheap. So we used to get loads of them from book fair.
