Generalization is the problem. It is not accurate to say that all gay relationships require two penises.
It is also wrong to call a lesbian transphobic because she finds testicles unattractive and vaginas attractive. She is entitled to be honest about her sexuality.

If someone starts a conversation with you and then asks you on a date, you have no obligation to tell them anything.
However if a person driving a Ferrari wearing a 5k suit and a 50k watch asks someone on a date, that person may be under the impression that they are going on a date with a rich person and that they will not be going to McDonald's.
I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with taking your date to McDonald's. Plenty of people love McDonald's. But it is not the same thing and that date may not go well.

And that implies that gay people do not exist. A lesbian who says testicles are gross does not actually have a genetic sexual desire for biological women.

At large companies, Project Managers and Product Managers are really good at filling up time and creating tasks. They also create processes that slow things down. So instead of making a UI change that a customer requested in 1 day as you can do at a startup, It takes months to get through the design, approval, testing, deployment schedules,etc...

I could see this gaining steam. Why would the activism stop with equal pay between men and women. Why not equal pay for everything. Who is going to stand up and say I think the Non-binary Black Cook in the cafeteria should be paid 60% less than the privileged white male programmer? Could AAPL afford to pay every employee 500k?

I saw a posting for a full stack engineer last year with a rate of $20/hour. It was temping to apply just find out what they expected. I can only think since this was a startup they were trying to "fill a seat" to look better for investors because having a higher headcount would seem impressive?

A lot of these jobs pay between 60-130k/year, have a very high preference for someone 2-5 years of experience out of college.
That only covers a small percentage of the population. I used to fit that profile and back then, the minute I made any change to LinkedIn, I had people message me. Now people don't want to waste their time on someone that will be out of their price range or more experienced than their boss. FAANG is the exception, they seem very interested in scheduling an interview.

I would recommend reading "Bad Blood". She fired that guy and cut him out of her life and continued to be the CEO and lie. But that doesn't really matter, all that matters is that she gets 12 people on the jury that agree that "Maybe" she had to commit fraud. And she will be off to her next scam

If that fails she can become transgender and then go through the jurors to find one who has ever said anything negative about any trans issue ever and say they are biased and the case should be throw out.

Probably something along the lines of "Due to her PTSD Ms. Holmes felt that she had to make investors (who were mostly men) happy." And "she felt that she couldn't question her employees when they seemed to be lying."
So really what happened here is that a victim of men was just a messenger between the fraudulent employees and the demanding investors.

Are customers able to fix the problems identified by your product?
I ask because I built a SaaS product that helped customers understand their data inside a legacy accounting product. Similarly it looked in the meta data on the back end of that accounting product and built visualizations. The problem we had was that customers didn't know how to or didn't want to fix the problems that our tool found. We had to hire accountants to go into the accounting tool and fix their problems. So it ended up being more of a tool for our accountants and less of a stand alone SaaS tool that customers actually used.

self-driving is more of a language problem than a technology problem. In 2005 grad students had cars driving themselves on a course. Tesla and Waymo both have cars that very drive well on many roads. self-driving is here, now all that is left is for people to argue about what "L5" means as the systems improve. They will improve as there is a clear path to improvement.
I don't expect that we will ever see the day where everyone is OK with self-driving cars on the roads regardless of the safety statistics, because there will always be edge cases of crashes and personal preferences around driving styles.

The business model doesn't seem honest. I doubt they really want to buy 3M homes and sell that to 6 people at 500k each. There isn't much of a market for that.
More likely they want to find a way to circumvent short term rental laws and then charge a premium over Airbnb for short term rental access in locations that Airbnb cannot rent. On paper that company could be worth billions. Then they sell it before investors realize the legal tricks they used only work for a short while.

The whole point of clinical trials is to get statically significant numbers so that you can understand if the vaccine is safe, months after administration. It was done before the vaccine was approved.
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejmoa2034577
Now you can debate the meaning of "safe". And you can make decisions based on anecdotes. And you can say it would be nice to have better data. But that is true for most things in life. Most people go to restaurants and drive their cars on roads with reviewing far less evidence that their car and restaurant they are going to are truly safe.

On average, humans have a need to feel safe and part of a tribe. If you can convince yourself that your tribe is correct and that it is best to eat boiled eggs from the big end first and that the people who eat boiled eggs from the small end first are wrong, you will feel better about your place in the world. If you don't know if the big end or the little end is best you will feel uneasy with the world.
Obviously there are exceptions. Some people can objectively look at the situation and come to the conclusion that there are good reasons to start on both sides, and it really depends on your priorities. But those people are not part of the noise, it is the people who are desperate to feel part of a group who are the loudest.

The reason some creators use OF is because of the convenience. If you make it takes weeks and tons of work to get on the platform, they might as well start their own site.
Also from a legal perspective it is very risky to take on that liability for so many creators. All it would take is one screw up on checking date of birth on an ID, and now OF is accessory to sex crimes.
