My father had a an old HP Vectra 286. Somehow I found the 5.25 floppies with QBasic 4.5 and the manuals and just started experimenting with it. I must have been around 11-12 years old. When I was 14 and doing work experience in system administrator I got a Free sad CD. That started my Unix journey.

The thing I find most interesting about ML in radiology is that a computer can observe the entire dynamic range of the sensor at once. A human will only look at a window or a compressed window.

I'm anesthesiologist but now I work full time as senior software engineer at a radar company. I wanted to get into medtech (still want to) but this works well with the family. Work life balance was the main reason I took this path. I also wanted more intellectually challenging work.
