I was at a Hilton recently and ordered room service - tortilla soup. When it came up, there was no spoon, so I called the front desk. Of course it was an AI, so I said “I just ordered a soup and got no spoon. Can you send me a spoon?”
It goes “got it - we’ll send a spoon up”.
It seems absurdly simple but was pretty impressed at a real implementation of AI that just worked (in what I’d consider an edge case).

I would buy a Kia or Hyundai because I get the same level of reliability as an American car, but with more creature comforts and at a lower price point.

I mostly disagree that it's on the Feds to recover stolen property.
If the Canadian Pacific police is contacted, told "Canadian Pacific has my stolen car, these are the case numbers with 2 different police services, and here is the exact container the car is in", I don't see how the right response is do nothing.

The video puts only slight pressure on Canadian Pacific, and major pressure on the federal government...
But if Canadian Pacific was told they have stolen property & continued to ship it - why are they not held responsible? And if exact storage container was spotted, why didn't the railway police try harder to trace the shipper?

There's also not that firm belief that cold and dark is bad. You go out on your skidoo, you go cross country skiing, etc etc, and then you return to your cozy home. or go to a sauna.
You drink your fish elixir. You try to prioritize time around the little sunlight there is. Brutal winters are not quite as brutal when you just call em "winter".
Plus dry colds tend to not feel as cold. Ottawa at -10 feels worse than Yellowknife at -25 (imo).

I think these assistants just need to give the user a way to edit interpretations.
A 'debug' area that lets you ask a command, see what was interpreted - and immediately edit or click "that's not what I wanted". But not an afterthought and not a cumbersome process like setting up an automation that is triggered by specific commands.
Imagine telling your voice assistant "You're wrong, as usual" and instead of it giving you the boiler plate "I'm sorry ", it actually offered a way to improve itself.
