Canvas LMS is the core service that universities rely on. I assume they're trying to develop a fix and that's why the service is labeled "Under Maintenance". I'm a Berkeley student and can confirm that our instance (bcourses.berkeley.edu) is still down.

Yeah same lol. Work comes to a grinding halt when Claude goes down nowadays. Time to "pull out the lanterns" and start coding by hand again!

For a few minutes, calendar.icloud.com showed all of its text in Korean around 9 PM PST May 31. I verified this was the case for multiple browsers and confirmed I didn't have Korean installed on either browser or my system. By the time I went to a separate computer to verify, I refreshed and it was all back to English. Here is one page I did NOT refresh and it's title was in Korean [0] (later it became the full page but I refreshed that page ;()
Anyone notice the same thing?
[0] https://imgur.com/a/79rzjtR

In light of the recent xz backdoor, I was wondering what the potential use, if any, there is in shipping test folders in release/production branches? Wouldn't it seem more reasonable to have a separate "dev" branch to have the tests of folders?

There is an answer to your question [0]:
"The basic algorithm divides points by a power of the time since a story was submitted. Comments in threads are ranked the same way.
Other factors affecting rank include user flags, anti-abuse software, software which demotes overheated discussions, account or site weighting, and moderator action."
[0] https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html
