There’s different levels of interlibrary loan - around here all the little local libraries can loan from each other in a matter of days (they ship to a central location each day). But they can also pull from a much wider distribution via media mail if needed.

The libraries actually do this, even if it’s not entirely visible or advertised- most librarians are rabid book-lovers and would love nothing more than to stock great books and similar.

They just provide cover with the DVDs and the pulp.

You're very likely to get a somewhat circular reference; the key (for me) is that for 90% of the usages, "standard translation LLMs" are just fine - I still recommend a translator but they're more of a proof-reader for both languages, catching where something slipped through.

Part of doing this is knowing the rules and the “real rules” - you have the car attached at an end node (Los Angeles or San Diego, say) even if your group gets on in Burbank.

Apple is pretty famous for dropping the ball for years on various things, and then coming out with a "slick version" so good that everyone forgets how late they were to the party.

The most famous would be the iPod, but there are others.

Google selling ads on their search to people using their browser and phone was way more anti-trustful than anything Microsoft ever did, tbh.

Especially when you consider that they bribe Apple and Firefox to funnel users to them, too.

On the phone it always defaults to searching the online store/music, instead of the local songs.

The Mac app version is less annoying in that way as it seems to vaguely remember what you were looking at.

Tsunamic tide would be better - as it operates like a high tide, which can be relatively shallow but still cause a lot of action.

Even the linux kernel doesn't need millions of lines of code; most of the actual LOC is device drivers, and you don't need all of them, you just need the ones for the devices you have.
