The current XReal models are very underwhelming. Very narrow FOV more or less equivalent to using a 27" monitor, lots of fuss with the cable, switching sound to headphones because the built in speakers are garbage. Issues with HDR support.

FWIW, had similar issues on M2 Max MacBook Pro and they did fix it eventually, in macOS 26. It only took 2-3 years.

btw if it happens often, check your cable, try a different one

Glad there are free alternatives now. When I switched to SteerMouse after getting fed up with Logitech I removed everything Logi Options had on my system. It freed almost 6Gb! Granted, most of it were different versions of the app that it was downloading, updating but never deleting the previous ones for some reason. But still, for a mouse driver that's excessive.

Finder being unable to show file information and instead showing something that looks like file information but is completely wrong is scary and sad. And it has been like this for months. Like here, none of the data in the General part matches the actual file. More info is correct, Preview is correct, so I know I did in fact click the correct file. http://bn5i3r.s3.amazonaws.com/Screenshot-2025-09-17-at-17-0... Happens randomly so I don't know how to report this (and from experience I know that reporting bugs to Apple is completely useless).

Rookie numbers :) I know people whos pushing 1TB, mine is almost 500GB. I back it up to a mechanical HDD every now and then.

But OP says they tried different SD card readers. And, now that Macbooks have SD card readers and every desktop dock and type c dongle thing has one, who even uses the camera to transfer photos?

I got a pretty decent chromebook on eBay for 70 euros. With pretty good display, keyboard, touchpad, touchscreen, 8Gb of RAM and a battery. Runs linux great. Apparently chromebooks dominate education market nowadays, very inexpensive and arguably more useful than a Raspberry pi.

Recently it took me 7 re-submissions to get an app through app review. The reason? I was using a third-party SDK! One reviewer figured that the SDK is contained in the app and this means it counts as content. And any third-party content requires a written and signed agreement with me personally which for an open source code from github I obviously didn't have. I was trying to explain the situation but each consecutive reviewer was just copying and pasting the same rejection. The process is just so broken.
