keep in mind a good mechanic is making double time or better.. although I understand that's harder on a FORD than a Japanese car.

$20 is also on the low end for a good tech, you're correct.

Balancing.. thats probably 1-0.5% of the BESS capacity. The impedance of LFE cells are so high when charged pretty small amounts of energy can slosh around before a protection disconnect, over voltage for example

Prius is just a little gas engine in a little and aerodynamic car.

They can have a tiny gas engine because the electric helps acceleration from a standstill.

The batteries are just weight on the highway

I went to one in LA, extended family went for Xmas. It's weird, super produced. The back wall was a teleprompter and a timer, so they could time this service and start the next.

I don't go to any church, so this was extra over the top.

I really wonder if it would be better to go the other way.

Mods take a break, and just let the bots shit allover the content.

It takes like 20mn of un-moderated internet before it's all ads and spam... Reddit is basically reddit because of the carefully curated posts.

In 10 years as a "professional" I've never heard it until the last 6 months. I'm EE so different circles, but closer to pure SW people in those last 6 months.

I'm not a fan.. I don't know why.

Where do you sit in the organization? How do you "get ahead of projects"?

Im a Systems Engineer by title, but have no idea where my place is (its all confusing). I'm basically an 'super IC' on a team - and try to play with other groups my group interacts with... So there is no power to set the design. Basically just answer 'will this work with your part of the system'?

I basically end up just finding issues, POC end-to-end (well outside of my discipline: I'm a HW guy to I'll do a FW to Cloud security thing).. and well, why business does the HW Systems person have suggesting we use PKI for authentication?

Google IoT Core will be discontinued on Aug. 16, 2023

borner791 — Mon, 15 Aug 2022 20:59:01 +0000

Your current IoT Core Services will remain available through August 15, 2023. Start your migration to alternative solutions. Hello [NAME],

We’re writing to let you know that Google Cloud’s IoT Core Service will be discontinued on August 16, 2023 at which point your access to the IoT Core Device Manager APIs will no longer be available. As of that date, devices will be unable to connect to the Google Cloud IoT Core MQTT and HTTP bridges and existing connections will be shut down.

Your current IoT Core Services will remain available through August 15, 2023, unless you terminate your usage of IoT Core at an earlier date.

What do I need to do? We recommend that you take action early to migrate from IoT Core to an alternative service. As an initial step, connect with your Google Cloud account manager if you have questions about your migration plans. Your account manager can also help you learn more about Google Cloud partners that offer alternative IoT technology or implementation services that meet your business requirements.

Over the next year, we will continue to reach out with additional information to support you during your migration.
