I love it how they say to update, but there's no point because it won't fix the vulnerability anyway.

Even for my tiny toy projects, I notice a bug and I tell the LLM and it corrects it, most of the time, but I shudder at the amount of code it generates or changes.

If it has some subtle data corruption bug then you're hosed.

It's just crazy to me to think about running AI changes in production on a real product.

I've heard SO MANY people who wouldn't usually care about such things say unprompted that they hate Windows 11. The ads, the nagging, the unbelievably slow performance for things that used to be instant, the terrible taskbar, etc etc.

I think they've finally made it so shit that people actually care and will look for alternatives.

Maybe it won't happen today, maybe not in the next 5 years, but it will happen.

Don't give up yet.

Lemmy is good, but not enough people on there for network effect to kick in yet.

I think once the enshittification gets too bad for even the average person, people will look for alternatives, and old style forums will return.

Although with all the ID verification, those forums might end up on Tor or something.

What do you mean it's defunct?

I use old.reddit.com all the time.

If old.reddit.com goes, I'm done with reddit.

I might try out some kind of alternative front end from https://github.com/mendel5/alternative-front-ends#reddit though.

But if that's not good enough, I'm done.

My uninformed guess as a non-murican would be that it's just zoned as a business.

I doubt there would be a special zoning category exclusively for strip clubs.
