It's not more expensive at all. They are all open weights models. I run them on 2x8xH100. They cost the same.

iPhones may be able to run local model inference, but Apple still can't train anything if they don't have any data.

But nVidia already sells servers (NVL72), and CPUs (Grace). Why buy a bunch of overlapping companies?

And no sane regulator on the planet will allow them to takeover AMD, Qualcomm, or Broadcom.
