I like a these modernization efforts in GCC, a lot of old niggles are gone now, and they've made a lot of new improvements I didn't think were possible/easy!

Saw the title and immediately guessed it was something playing sounds when a local server is accessed which then exploded in popularity.

Saved me many times from reaching for the CD to rescue my main. When you install Arch it uses this technique, very lightweight.
