(assuming privacy is handled correctly) i like the idea of my pc always having a side-channel for communication of "simpler" things.

I m not sure how it could fit in to my 2 modalities of work: (i) alone in complete focus / silence (ii) in the office where there is already too much spoken communication between humans... maybe it s just a matter of getting used to it

i m experimenting with a little website to "enhance" my web searches and simplify deep dives. It lets you save pages from the web and makes them searchable through a full-text search engine. Eventually, with an extension, it can show indexed pages onto google results.

because sometimes i lose nice page i find on internet and google is terrible at finding them back

decided to share cause i m a terrible go developer (actually not a great developer overall, but i m maybe getting better), maybe someone make can it nicer

I was trying to ask ChatGPT some advice on how to engineer my prompts (maybe its futile, but nevermind, that is not the point), hit 'enter' and noticed that the response mentioned GPT-3.5 [1]. When trying to dig deeper ChatGPT wrote that <> In a "fresh" chat, any knowledge of GPT-3.5 is denied [2].

Maybe every once in a while, GPT gets fed with wikipedia? Maybe the ".5" came out at random? (actually just the "." token was random and the "5" followed) Is this considered an hallucination?

Hi everyone! I almost finished writing yet another bookmark manager in go. It's a little website i wrote to learn go, but i keep stumbling into problems related (i guess) to go. What is more appropriate to ask for help? should i post as - ask hn, describe my problem and eventually put a link to github - ask hn, describe my problem in detail, avoid any link - show hn, link to github and describe the problem in readme

It's not an explanation, but show a possible way to cluster (thus classify) websites based on the how they appear, if you want your classification based on content... Maybe you need something different

i'd like that the channels i m subscribed to to has more influence on my feed. I mean, i would like to see more video liked, commented or watched by those channel. I can't say for sure this isn't already part of the algorithm...but still, more influence
