<p>Taking the time to write something, and read over it is a better skill than asking an LLM to do it for you.<p>Also, quality doesn't come from any of those points you've mentioned. Quality comes from your ability to think and reason through a topic. All those points you mention in your first paragraph are excuses, trying to make it seem like there was some sort of effort to get an LLM to write a post. It feels like fishing for a justification</p>

<p>Agreed, there's a few instances of this sort of thing that come to mind. Sometimes you have a good thing, but it's not until some external thing changes that the right conditions for uptake are met. One such example is the game Among Us which was out for two years before covid hit and it found exponential growth after that.</p>

<p>> A site that optimizes for content that people heavily interact with (engagement) is different than a site that prioritizes the relationship type between users<p>I think that's hit the nail on the head. 
In a neutral environment, a user would be shown a feed of friends posts with ads mixed in for their demographic.<p>In an optimised for engagement environment, a user is shown posts that are known to increase engagement and quite often those posts are inflammatory.<p>This engagement environment is much more likely to expose people to extreme views</p>
