New comment by ccozan in "Offline survival assistant – local LLM and Kiwix, runs from a USB stick"

I understand, myself have such a backup battery for the house. But I am still pleading my case for a mobile solution. If there is a earthquake or large scale disaster, I am more inclined to have already my phone on me than my laptop.

( not sure what was the downvote for... )

neat idea but it requires a PC, this requires power and an outlet, which in a true disaster case is not possible.

Is there anything but for mobile? Or even a dedicated device.

I hope someone reads your post. I had to laugh hysterically when I reached the end. The level of sarcasm is too high.

Well in the same way as all the solar panels come from China, as well as all batteries.

EU is an open market - it exports a lot of products, but they are of high value. The AI spending is simply not high enough value so that it is picked up.

New comment by ccozan in "My weird new hobby: Wandering around Tokyo on Google Maps"

I found on YT a lot of videos driving through Tokyo. At first, I thought is very big and messy. The more I watched, it clicked how is organized ( the ring around it, the main streets, the neighbourhoods, etc ). After a week, it had the strange sensation I am living in Tokyo , since I was involuntarily remembering flashes of streets or corners. Even now, after months, I can close my eyes and see them, like a real memory of walking down that streets.

Not sure what is mind boggling. The homo sapiens exists in the _current_ form ( physiologically and brain size, etc ) since at least 250k years. about 50k year ago abstract art was already in vogue.

yes stored in their warehouse. But the law says I am a producer becase my logo and my registered brand is on the package.

The packaging issue is orthogonal to Amazon. they just apply the law.

No absolutely no. We were selling some electronic stuff on Amazon. We were doing good. But then this came, the registration that become mandatory, took 3 months instead of 3 weeks and then they had no rules and deleted saying our device is not the right category. We closed shop after spending time and money. The system is horrenduos and has not stopped the chinese stuff on the Amazon at all.

Batteries?

Starting this year, in Romania you cannot put new PV capacity online without the storage for it, is mandatory. Possibly for existing ones, but I am not sure.
