Kind of weird that the author does not make clear what a "normal person" is, despite this being a central concept to their article.
Personally I don't think it is normal to be unable to double click on i3wm in some graphical apt wrapper and then pick it from a scroll list at login. People use shortcuts in Windows all the time. Having more than one workspace might have been foreign to most a decade or two ago, but these days external monitors are common and workspaces are basically that.
I've seen people who I would not consider abnormal go from weird misconceptions about i3wm to efficiently sending around windows between workspaces and screens in a day. If you want you can also click your way through it, and configuration is generated for you after you decide whether you want Alt or Super as the core command key. Defaults are rather sensible, so you don't have to fiddle with them until you've got some experience.
Historically user interfaces on web pages and in Windows and Mac OS:s has changed quite a bit and people who I think most would consider normal managed to adapt.

OK, so I did this recently and it depends a lot on what software you're then running whether it works or not, and whether the keyboard will actually flip some Caps Lock switch somewhere regardless of being remapped.
ctrl2caps tends to break and activate Caps Lock, i.e. capital letters unless Shift is held.
This being Windows 11.

I kind of disagree that it is done easily in Windows, network drives are pretty cursed everywhere in my experience.
But yeah, I'm a professional who lives in multiplexed terminals and none of the people who I've helped migrate to Linux were keen on NFS, CIFS, SMB and so on, so it's not like I have a solid grasp on the graphical tooling available for such things.
It has been much rarer for people to come back to me with problems after I've helped them move to Linux compared to the Windows users, though.

In eldritch times there was another AI hausse wave. Back then they also managed to trick themselves into believing that logic gates can be taught to think and that natural language processing could become the superior computer interface.
Lots of money went into it, the military was onboard, Japan was going to teach cats and spoons to write Prolog*.
After some time very little of this actually came to be. Now it didn't go away, quite the opposite, but the inheritance from that AI wave is things like scoring credit applications. Every bank does it now, and have for decades. They run rule engines that consume information from applicant and other sources and price the credit automatically. I suspect this is the biggest contribution from that old AI stuff that's still around.
And pretty much no one predicted it, everyone involved was chasing something else.
The doped up vector databases on a loop will most likely have a similar trajectory. I think some of them will end up as ERP RAD stuff, expensive consultant intensive SAP and Salesforce style products. Some will probably live on as disability tooling.
* https://ojs.aaai.org/aimagazine/index.php/aimagazine/article...

It's like old fashioned Wordpress, edited by someone directly in production, on a shared host that probably is infested with who knows what, with little to no oversight except inscrutable emails, which in the old days were like a CEO of a small business emailing 'hey, the thing we spoke about on the phone, is it coming?' and no actual document trail.
Except for the enterprise customer and at enterprise prices.

This reads like some crypto or NFT commodity white paper, i.e. like an ad that says you need to use this now, and more, so that you'll figure out what it's good for.
A difference is that in those white papers they usually argue that their solution is more perfect in some sense than some more adopted alternative, here they instead claim that their commercial offering is "general purpose".

You should have tools that trivially allow you to incrementally and very immediately develop tools for inspection and getting clear answers. Going a roundabout way through some non-deterministic database to try and get there seems like a waste.

Pseudoephedrine is very different from amphetamine. If you must push caffeine users towards something else, go for nicotine. It is quite well tolerated, techniques for cessation are abundant, and like caffeine it is a cholinergic and would not be moreish unlike amphetamine.
For treatment of ADHD amphetamine is pretty much never the first reasonable option. It's reasonably among the last, way over there with meth, on the other side of reuptake inhibitors with a much nicer toxicological profile.

I'll necro this even though I've been away for quite some time because this is such a motorheaded jaw clenched dum-dum of a position to take.
"When dosed properly" is basically a circular premise. When things are good, things are good. Great. Brilliant. This is the kind of solid ground we need for making judgements about psychoactives and health.
The thing is this, this ideal world does not exist. If you raise the dose or take an extra dose of caffeine, what happens? You'll probably feel sick and correct. What happens with amphetamine? In the best case you inch towards euphoria. At worst, if you really hit it on, you'll get a rush like little else and then euphoria.
Caffeine is very not sneaky, it clears the fog and you trivially find your equilibrium where you take roughly the same amount of a hundred millis per day. It carries very little risk for changes in personality and perception. Amphetamine is quite different. It affects confidence, behaviour and changes your perception so that the amphetamine starts to look like a solution to more and more problems. It does this in nefarious ways that usually aren't obvious to the newcomer. It's also way more potent than caffeine, therapeutic doses being in the few milligrams rather than hundreds a day.
Perhaps you've eaten more pills than I have, but I'm sure you didn't pay as much attention as I have. I like amphetamine as a very sporadic recreational drug, but that's on a hiatus because I have kids that depend on me. I'd never take it on a casual basis because I'm not disabled in a way that makes up for the risks. And there are risks, for one it's neurotoxic due to excitotoxicity. How much can't easily be predicted but chronic exposure is unlikely to be safe in the sense caffeine is. As far as I can tell this is more pronounced with dopaminergic than noradrenergic effects, i.e. if this is the case then dextroamphetamine is likely worse than the levo enantiomer.
Then there's the issue of mixing drugs. In many users amphetamine will not lessen or stop the consumption of caffeine.

"The coroner wrote that Mitchell had drowned, likely due to an arrhythmia triggered by the combination of energy drinks and physical exercise. She noted that he had a blood-alcohol content of about 0.1%, slightly over the legal limit for driving."
That's a lot of alcohol. Where I live they'll for sure tear your license and sentence you to up to two years if you're caught behind the wheel at that level of intoxication.
As for so called energy drinks and alcohol, I'd bet taurine is much more important than caffeine.

Why do you expect pseudoephedrine to be less nasty on the cardiovascular system than caffeine?
Recommending going from caffeine to amphetamine comes across as rather weird to me.
