There are some differences between the 9a and 10a that might influence purchase decisions. Tom's Hardware did a side-by-side of the Pixel 9a vs 10a (albeit not running GrapheneOS):

The situation right now with the Doogee U10 tablet: not commonly available.

Once the news gets out about epic breakthroughs on commodity hardware and devices, there's unfortunately a likely spike in the purchase cost, even if such devices can be found at all anymore on the usual online sources of new and used goods.

If you're referring to the title, it conflates a relatively small geographic area having a large, concentrated population (York University, GTA, Southern Ontario) with a vastly larger but less densely concentrated national population (the rest of Canada), so it is easily seen as irritating to folks in the latter. Not hard to understand. Not a conspiracy.
